Ajuga Reptans ‘Burgundy Glow’

This low-maintenance creeping perennial creates a weed smothering carpet of colourful semi-evergreen leaves. The silvery foliage is decorated with creamy margins and flushed with burgundy tones. Ajuga ‘Burgundy Glow’ makes excellent ground cover in dry, shady spots under shrubs and along border edges where its creeping rhizomes form a spreading mat without being invasive. In late spring and early summer, it produces short spikes of whorled, two-lipped, deep blue flowers which are nectar-rich and highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.
