Distylium ‘Cinnamon Girl’

Pest and disease resistant, tolerant to heat and drought, and superbly hardy, Distylium is a relatively unknown evergreen that provides an excellent alternative to box and other low-maintenance shrubs. Distylium ‘Cinnamon Girl’ has especially small leaves, forming a fine-textured, dense shrub. The young foliage emerges red-purple before maturing to blue-green. Forming a low, spreading mound, it makes excellent ground cover in front gardens or as a low hedge. Tolerates pruning well. Height: 60-90cm (2-3ft). Spread: 90-120cm (3-4 ft).
