Perovskia ‘Bluesette’

Many varieties of Perovskia begin to flower very late in the season and their lax branches are prone to flopping by the end of the summer. However, Perovskia ‘Bluesette’ is a lovely compact cultivar producing masses of bright blue flowers much earlier and for a longer period than others. The flowers are held on branching stems which remain tidy and upright. Blooming profusely from summer to autumn, its nectar-rich flowers are a magnet for pollinators whilst the silvery, fragrant foliage is an additional feature. Drought tolerant, it works well at the front of a dry, sunny border or in a sun-baked patio pot. Height and spread: 50cm (20in).
