Primula Denticulata ‘Blue’

Holding an RHS Award of Garden Merit, Primula denticulata is an incredibly versatile little perennial. Tolerant of shade and poorly drained conditions, it is ideal for pondside or streamside planting and boggy areas. However, drumstick primrose is equally happy in containers or at the front of borders, even in full sun so long as the soil is moist. Vivid blue-purple flowers are produced in tight, pom-pom-like globes on upright stems from April to June, which blend beautifully with ferns, hostas and other shade plants.
